The Round Rock Public Library is holding a cookiedecorating party for elementary school students from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at 216 E. Main St. It’s an early release day for students in the Round Rock school district that day.

Kids will get to decorate and eat cookies. The event is free and open to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Preregistration is required at the library’s children’s reference desk or by calling the library at 218-3275.

The Hutto Orange Santa program is accepting donations until Dec. 31. The program provides toys and turkey dinners to families with children who would not receive Christmas gifts otherwise.

Last year, the program provided assistance to more than 400 families. Donations can be made www.OrangeSanta. org, or at the Hutto Police Department, 401 W. Front St.

The city of Hutto will hold the Old Town Christmas celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday on East and Farley streets.

The celebration will feature children’s activities, Santa and a variety of vendors.

A free screening of “Arthur Christmas” will show at 7 p.m., so participants should bring blankets and lawn chairs.
