Heritage society hosts Christmas homes tour
The Taylor Conservation and Heritage Society is inviting the public to take its Christmas homes tour on Saturday and Sunday.
The tour will feature five homes, including an 1890s late Victorian and a 1905 classic revival. Some of the homes will have extravagant Christmas displays while others will feature antiques and family heirlooms, a news release said. Historical information on each home will be provided to those taking the tour.
Advanced tickets are available for $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 at the Taylor Chamber of Commerce, 1519 N Main St. Tickets will cost $15 for adults and $12 for children on the day of the tour at tour headquarters at 200 N. Main St.
The tour will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information go to www.taylorheritagesociety. org.

The program, which features interactive history lessons and activities, is free for children and takes place from 10 to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month, according to a museum announcement.
