Two new principals approved by board
The Bastrop school board has approved the appointment of new principals for Genesis High School and Gateway School. The board approved Bastrop High School Principal Martin Conrardy as the new principal for Genesis High School. Conrardy has worked for 21 years as a teacher, coordinator, instructional specialist and assistant and associate principal. The board named Patricia Alford, principal of the Taylor school district’s Opportunity Center, as principal of the Gateway School. Before serving as an educator for the last 14 years, Alford worked for Travis County as an educational instructor for adults and youth convicted of a crime, a detention supervisor and a juvenile probation officer.
