An un­der­stand­able sen­ti­ment con­sid­er­ing he and the most im­por­tant player on his team, the lone player re­main­ing from the Pa­tri­ots’ 2001 Su­per Bowl cham­pi­onship squad, have a di­vine sym­bi­otic re­la­tion­ship that has pro­duced more wins than any quar­ter­back-coach tan­dem since the NFL-AFL merger.

The NFL quar­ter­back-head coach re­la­tion­ship could be the most chal­leng­ing play­er­coach re­la­tion­ship in team sports. If a head coach and his quar­ter­back aren’t on the same page, win­ning is un­likely. All but im­pos­si­ble ac­tu­ally.
