Lin­klater, Green headed to Sun­dance

“Be­fore Mid­night,” the lat­est fea­ture from Austin di­rec­tor Richard Lin­klater, will have its world pre­miere at the Sun­dance Film Fes­ti­val in Jan­uary. Also se­lected for the pre­mieres sec­tion of the fes­ti­val was David Gor­don Green’s “Prince Avalanche.” Lin­klater’s “Be­fore Mid­night” fol­lows the lives of Jesse and Ce­line in Greece, nearly two decades af­ter first meet­ing on a train bound for Vi­enna in “Be­fore Sun­rise.” Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy reprise their ear­lier roles. Green, who lives in Austin, di­rects Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch in “Prince Avalanche,” which fol­lows two guys who spend the sum­mer of 1988 away from the city where they live. Kat Can­dler’s “Black Metal” was se­lected for the shorts pro­gram.
