Austin American-Statesman - - THE SECOND FRONT -

■ A story on Friday’s B1 about the University of Texas System’s plan to merge two South Texas universities misstated how much the combined institution would be eligible to receive from the Permanent University Fund endowment. Allocations from the fund would vary depending on campus needs, system priorities, the fund’s earnings and other factors. The UT System’s eligible campuses have received $11 million a year on average in the past 10 years from the fund.
