Cham­ber hosts monthly lun­cheon

Reg­is­ter by Tues­day to at­tend the monthly Buda cham­ber lun­cheon on Wed­nes­day.

The cham­ber will be col­lect­ing do­na­tions to ben­e­fit Buda’s Blue Santa pro­gram, and will host the Dahlstrom Choir, which will per­form hol­i­day mu­sic dur­ing lunch. The meal in­cludes baked potato soup, sand­wich and cob­bler.

The lun­cheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Good Shep- herd Min­istries, 401 FM 967.

The pro­gram costs $10 for those who reg­is­ter in ad­vance and $15 at the door.

The re­sults of a Spring Lake water qual­ity and nu­tri­ent study will be pre­sented from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurs­day at City Park Recre­ation Hall, 170 Charles Austin Drive.

The study looked at the ef­fect of pol­lu­tants en­ter­ing Spring Lake from lo­cal creeks and the Up­per San Mar­cos River. Ci­ti­zens will have a chance to com­ment on the re­sults and learn more about the Spring Lake wa­ter­shed pro­tec­tions process.

The Mead­ows Cen­ter for Water and the En­vi­ron­ment and the Up­per San Mar­cos Wa­ter­shed Co­or­di­nat­ing Group are co­or­di­nat­ing the pre­sen­ta­tion.
