Home invader targeting elderly
Two recent home invasions by a woman in Manor have police warning elderly residents to take extra precautions as the search for the woman continues.
The suspect is targeting elderly women who live alone, said Manor police Sgt. Ryan Phipps. The victims were overpowered and robbed after they opened their doors to the woman, who appears to be in her 30s, he said.
In the first incident last weekend, a woman in her 90s was pushed to the ground after answering the door, Phipps said. The suspect then entered the home, took several of the victim’s belongings and left, he said. The victim suffered minor injuries. In that case, Phipps said, the woman likely will face an aggravated robbery charge.
