Workers collect for child care agency

on the Season for Caring day and give a P. Terry’s burger a try. While that’s good for business, Patrick Terry says, “It’s all about the charity. … We are very fortunate. This town has been very kind to us. We have to give something back.”
Each year, P. Terry’s designates a day each quarter to donate its profits to a different agency.
This spirit of giving has rubbed off on employees. Recently, employees decided to collect money to buy presents for residential child care agency Helping Hand Home, which will deliver the gifts on Christmas Eve.
Eating at P. Terry’s on Saturday is just one of the way readers are giving. Some are holding bake sales, some are cleaning out closets, some are collecting money at work or asking their holiday party guests to give.
