Tateyama agrees to deal with Texas
Right-handed reliever Yoshinori Tateyama has agreed to a minor league contract to remain with the Texas Rangers.
Cubs: Edwin Jackson is moving toward a fouryear, $52 million deal with the Chicago Cubs, according to a report from ESPN’s Buster Olney.
Jackson had a 4.03 ERA with 168 strikeouts and 58 walks in 189 ⅔ innings for Washington last season.
Marlins: Third baseman Placido Polanco has agreed to a $2.75 million, one-year contract with Miami. The 37-yearold battled injuries this year and hit .257 with two home runs and 19 RBIs in 90 games with Philadelphia.T
