The city of Hutto is re­mind­ing res­i­dents that fir­ing any type of fire­work within city lim­its or the city’s ex­trater­ri­to­rial ju­ris­dic­tion vi­o­lates a city or­di­nance. The po­lice de­part­ment will have “zero tol­er­ance” for of­fend­ers and will seize any fire­works found within the city’s ju­ris­dic­tion. Vi­o­lat­ing the or­di­nance is a misdemeanor pun­ish­able by a fine.

The Wil­liamson County Re­gional An­i­mal Shel­ter is of­fer­ing $12 pet adop­tions for dogs, pup­pies, cats and kit­tens un­til the end of De­cem­ber. The shel­ter is at 1855 S.E. In­ner Loop.
