JASONDEAN GEORGETOWN Go figure:
Georgetown went 15-1 and reached the Class 4A, Division I championship game. The case for Dean: In his first three years as Georgetown’s coach, Dean oversaw a program on the rise — his team went 1-9 in 2009, 5-6 in 2010 and 6-4 in 2011 — and the eagles soared to new heights this season. In 2012, Georgetown won a school-record 15 games and the team reached a state championship game for the first time. The championship for District 17-4A, one of the three districts in the state to have four teams win a playoff game, was also won by Dean’s eagles.
