More Zilker tree time, please

Austin American-Statesman - - VIEWPOINTS - Truman Trekell Austin

Finally, a forum where I can make my Christmas wish known! I wish the city of Austin and Austin Energy would light the Zilker Park moonlight tower Christmas tree for early morning commuters who travel from North Austin into work downtown. Living north of downtown, we never get to enjoy the tree as we did in years past. I support saving energy, but if the city is going to go to the effort to reconstruct the tree each year for the enjoyment of its citizens, why not light it for the enjoyment of as many of its citizens as possible?

The Zilker Park Christmas tree is a huge attraction across the street from the Trail of Lights in Austin.
