Storms caused Dal­las/ Fort Worth In­ter­na­tional Air­port to have the high­est num­ber of can­celed flights in the coun­try, ac­cord­ing to flight­stats.com.

Five flights from AustinBergstrom In­ter­na­tional Air­port to Dal­las were can­celed Wed­nes­day morn­ing; at least an­other 10 ar­rived more than an hour late by early Wed­nes­day evening.

Six­teen Austin-to-Chicago flights ar­rived more than an hour late; five flights to the na­tion’s cap­i­tal were de­layed leav­ing Austin and ar­rived more than three hours late; and five New York-bound flights were de­layed more than 14 hours.

By early evening, a hand­ful of ar­riv­ing flights were be­hind sched­ule, in­clud­ing a flight from Lub­bock sched­uled to ar­rive at 4:30 p.m.that was sev­eral hours late and five flights from At­lanta that ar­rived more than an hour late.

Austin avi­a­tion of­fi­cials con­tinue to urge pas­sen­gers to check the sta­tus of flights be­fore leav­ing for the air­port.
