Council to consider roadway bond options
The Kyle City Council could choose an alternate option for a Roadway Bond Election during a council meeting Wednesday .
The Mobility Committee and City Council made recommendations on Dec. 20, ranking a variety of options to pursue for a Roadways Bond Election in May.
The highest-ranked option includes construction and improvements to Bunton Creek Road, Burleson Road, Goforth Road, Lehman Road and Marketplace Avenue, according to the meeting’s agenda packet. The total cost of this option is $51,968,757, with the average annual increase in a homeowner’s tax bill ranging from $24.55 to $61.75 during a six-year period.
The lowest-ranked option calls for construction and improvements for Bunton Creek Road and professional design services for Burleson Road, Lehman Road and Marketplace Avenue. This option would cost $13,853,428 and raise the average homeowner’s tax bill an estimated $39.77 for year one, and $29.40 for year two of the bond, according to the agenda packet.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St.
