30 killed as explosions rock Syrian capital
Journalists gather at the entrance of the main judicial building in Damascus, Syria, after suicide bombers attacked the building and a city restaurant Wednesday, killing at least 30 people. A suicide bomber detonated his explosives vest inside the building, state media said. The official news agency, SANA, said another suicide explosion struck a restaurant in the Rabweh district of Damascus, causing an unknown number of casualties. The attacks reflect a renewed effort by militants to use insurgent tactics against President Bashar Assad’s forces in a bid to recover lost momentum.
