Which state build­ing could best be named for Bush 41?

Happy Saint Pa­trick’s Day. OK, now that we’re done with the hol­i­day-themed stuff, I’ve got three things to re­port to­day.

Thing one

I told you the other day about Cedar Park coun­cil mem­ber and all-around guy with time on his hands Corbin Van Ars­dale’s con­test to find the best cap­tion on a bill at the Capi­tol. The cap­tion is the sen­tence at the top that says what the bill is about.

Be­cause it’s the way Amer­ica does it, Van Ars­dale had two win­ners this year. One is the pop­u­lar vote win­ner and the other is the Elec­toral Col­lege win­ner. As you know, they don’t al­ways have to be the same.

(And, FYI, I’m not sure ex­actly how Van Ars­dale runs this con­test and whether it would with­stand grand jury scru­tiny.)
