Manchester United, Manchester City seek new venue, won’t play in Austin.
An International Champions Cup soccer match between two English Premier League giants that was proposed for Austin this summer has been scrapped because of scheduling conflicts.
Manchester United was to play Manchester City in July at Royal-Memorial Stadium. Team officials were here negotiating during South by Southwest, but the sides could not agree on a revised date, multiple sources told the American-Statesman on Wednesday.

Originally, the match was to be at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, partly to avoid the heat. A travel conflict
