Hutto’s top cop quits, but questions remain
Officials stay mum on shakeup, but announce hiring of replacement.
There were more questions than answers Friday when Hutto Police Chief Earl Morrison resigned, his replacement was announced, and city officials declined to comment about the shakeup.
The city announced in a news release Friday morning that Morrison had resigned to “pursue other opportunities,” and that City Manager Odis Jones had appointed Galveston Assistant Police Chief Byron Frankland to be the new chief.
