Aug. 3, 2015: At­tor­ney Gen­eral Ken Pax­ton is ar­rested, fin­ger­printed and pho­tographed at the county jail in his home­town of McKin­ney on three felony in­dict­ments al­leg­ing se­cu­ri­ties law vi­o­la­tions. Aug. 27, 2015: Pax­ton pleads not guilty. Nov. 2, 2015: Pax­ton seeks to dis­miss the in­dict­ments. Dec. 11, 2015: State Dis­trict Judge Ge­orge Gal­lagher up­holds the charges. Pax­ton later ap­peals. April 11, 2016: U.S. Se­cu­ri­ties and Ex­change Com­mis­sion files law­suit ac­cus­ing Pax­ton of se­cu­ri­ties fraud.
