Pre-, af­ter-school pro­grams set

Regis­tra­tion is open for af­ter-school and preschool pro­grams through the Round Rock Parks and Re­cre­ation De­part­ment at the Clay Mad­sen Re­cre­ation Cen­ter, 1600 Gat­tis School Road.

The Tod­dler Tree­house preschool pro­gram will have op­tions of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thurs­days for ages 3-4; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mon­days, Wednesdays and Fri­days for ages 4-5; or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mon­days-Fri­days for ages 4-5. The pro­gram is a de­vel­op­men­tal pro­gram that of­fers ages 3-5 years an op­por­tu­nity to ex­plore and learn. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude crafts, cook­ing, games, tac­tile learn­ing ac­tiv­i­ties and field trips.

The Kids’ Club­house af­ter-school pro­gram will be from 2:50 to 6 p.m. Mon­days through Fri­days for stu­dents in grades K-5. The pro­gram will pro­vide trans­porta­tion from Voigt, Cal­li­son, Gat­tis, Black­land Prairie and For­est Creek el­e­men­tary schools. Stu­dents from other schools can at­tend, but must get their own trans­porta­tion. Ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude time for home­work and read­ing, small and large group ac­tiv­i­ties, sports, arts and crafts.

The Coun­selor-in-Train­ing pro­gram for stu­dents in grades six through eight will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Mon­days through Fri­days. The pro­gram will pro­vide trans­porta­tion from C.D. Fulkes and Ridgeview mid­dle schools. Stu­dents from other schools can at­tend, but must get their own trans­porta­tion. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude time for home­work and read­ing, small and large group ac­tiv­i­ties, sports, arts and crafts and as­sist­ing in spe­cial events and monthly field trips.
