Ex­hi­bi­tion de­but is spe­cial for Fore­man

— The last time WHITE SUL­PHUR SPRINGS, W.VA. run­ning back D’Onta Fore­man took a hand­off in a game was Nov. 25, when Texas lost 31-9 to TCU.

That third con­sec­u­tive loss sad­dled the Longhorns with a 5-7 record. No one could blame Fore­man, who car­ried the ball 31 times for 165 yards, for his team’s mis­er­able per­for­mance, which con­trib­uted to coach Char­lie Strong be­ing fired and re­placed by Tom Her­man.

Now Fore­man is ea­ger to re­turn to the field in the Hous­ton Tex­ans’ pre­sea­son opener at Carolina on Wed­nes­day night.
