2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Starting at $25,595, the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan seats seven comfortably and is available in four models: the Grand Caravan SE, the Grand Caravan SE Plus, the Grand Caravan SXT, and the Grand Caravan GT.
The SE gets an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. It has a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that puts out 283 horsepower.
The second and third rows of seats fold down to give immense storage options, converting this passenger can into a cargo van with ease. In the front seats, you’ll find storage, too -- a console to hold the little things that a driver and passenger might find useful. An observation mirror gives the driver a view of passengers even in the third row.
Kelley Blue Book gave the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan a rating of 7.5 out of 10. It got high marks in comfort and convenience, as well as design (both 7.6); it also received a 7.5 for value.
2017 Chrysler Pacifica
Starting at $28,995, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan is an IIHs Top Safety Pick+ and winner of the 2017 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award.
With seating for up to eight, this minivan is available in Limited, Touring L Plus, Touring L, Touring Plus, Touring, and LX trim levels.
The LX is he base model and gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Standard features include active noise cancellation to make your ride quieter, Stow ‘n Go seating, and an available Park Video Rear Backup Camera. This minivan makes it easier to get into the back row, too, with easy-tilt seating that lets you access the third row of seats by lifting a lever.
Kelley Blue Book gave the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica LX a rating of 9.3 out of 10. It got high ratings in comfort and convenience (9.6), driving dynamics (9.5), and design (9.4).
2017 GMC Savana
Starting at $33,140, the 2017 GMC Savana passenger van seats up to 15 individuals in comfort and style. It is offered in 2500 and 3500 designations.
This van is available in two wheelbases and two seating configurations, for 12 or 15 passengers. Drivers can choose from three engines: the standard 4.8L V8 engine, the optional Vortec 6.0L V8 VVT, or the optional 2.8L Duramax Turbo-Diesel. The 6.0L 3 engine offers 373 lb-ft. of torque and is flex fuel compatible. The Duramax engine offers 369 lb-ft. of torque and has an automatic transmission.
This van can be converted to include a wheelchair lift, as well. There is a swing-out door available to make loading the passengers and cargo into the van a breeze.
Standard features include power door locks, power outlets, an AM/FM audio system including MP3 player, and rubberized vinyl floor covering down the entire length of the van.
There’s an available leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio controls, and cruise control is standard on the 2017 GMC Savana.
