Band hosts invitational

The Dripping Springs High School Band will host its 10th annual Thunder in the Hills Percussion Invitational at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dripping Springs High School, 940 U.S. 290 West.

The invitational draws bands from Austin, San Antonio and Houston areas, and the Dripping Springs band will perform at 3 p.m. Awards will be handed out at 6:30 p.m. or following the last performance. Concessions will be available.

Admission is $8 for general admission, $5 for seniors and ages 5 and younger are free.
