Cli­mate, soils meet­ing Thurs­day

The Texas Mas­ter Nat­u­ral­ists Good Wa­ter Chap­ter will host a meet­ing on cli­mate, soils and bio­di­ver­sity from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thurs­day at the Williamson County Texas A&M AgriLife ex­ten­sion if­fice, 3151 SE In­ner Loop.

Michael Hus­ton, a re­tired bi­ol­ogy pro­fes­sor at Texas State Uni­ver­sity, will dis­cuss “Cli­mate, Soils and Bio­di­ver­sity: Un­ex­pected Re­la­tion­ships.” He has worked for over 40 years on a range of is­sues re­lated to un­der­stand­ing the spa­tial dis­tri­bu­tion of species di­ver­sity in var­i­ous scales and ecosys­tems.

The free event will in­clude a so­cial time at 6 p.m. with light re­fresh­ments, a short busi­ness meet­ing and the pre­sen­ta­tion.
