OUR TAKE When the stars over­head match the glow-in-the-dark con­stel­la­tions on your hat, you know you’ve made some good choices. But be­yond the fun pat­tern, the Stellar’s merino/acrylic/poly blend kept our heads warm down to 10°F on a rig­or­ous night­time snow­shoe through the frozen Yukon tundra, even with winds whip­ping snow hor­i­zon­tally. The low pro­file was great un­der hel­mets, but the fit left some testers’ ear­lobes ex­posed. (Note: If your tent­mate isn’t into glow-in-the-dark stars, the Stellar is re­versible.)
