NO. 3 C. MILTON WRIGHT 2, MANCHESTER VALLEY 0: Ryan Belfiore assisted on both second-half goals to lead the Mustangs (14-2-2) past the Mavericks (14-3) at Linganore in Class 3A state semifinal.

Brett Lindsey scored in the 69th minute and Connor Appleby added an insurance goal with 2:31 left in the game. NO. 8 EASTERN TECH 2, CENTURY 1: Issac Ngobu’s goal with 7:18 remaining was the margin of victory, as the Mavericks (18-1) edged the Knights (11-4-3) at River Hill in a Class 2A state semifinal.

Mitchel Shanklin, who had the Mavericks’ first-half goal, hit Ngobu with a crossing pass and the junior midfielder shot it to the upper left corner from 15 yards out.

GREAT MILLS 3, NO. 9 CENTENNIAL 1: The Hornets (16-3) scored twice in the second half and held the Eagles (11-5-2) scoreless in Class 3A.

Great Mills advances to the 3A state championsh­ip game next week against C. Milton Wright.

PATTERSON MILL 5, INTERNATIO­NAL HIGH SCHOOL AT LANGLEY PARK 0: The Huskies (11-7) shut out the Phoenix (14-3) at Northeast in Class 1A.

Patterson Mill will meet Sparrows Point for the Class 1A crown next week at Loyola Maryland. The days and time will be determined at a later time.

NO. 2 RIVER HILL 1, FALLSTON 0: After the Hawks (16-2) pressured the Cougars (10-7-2) time and time again, the outcome was decided by a foul on Fallston’s Brigette Wang in the box with 2:53 left. Vic Tran placed the ensuing penalty kick into the bottom left corner for the game’s only score, and the host River Hill won in Class 2A.

River Hill advances to the state championsh­ip game for the second straight year. The defending state champion Hawks will play Hereford at Loyola Maryland’s Ridley Athletic Complex next week.

NO. 3 BROADNECK 4, ELEANOR ROOSEVELT 0: Makenna Dean had a goal and two assists to lead the Bruins (16-2-1) past the Raiders (14-2) in Class 4A at Wise.

Broadneck (16-2-1) will make its third state appearance and play for its second state title in three years against Urbana.

NO. 5 HEREFORD 2, NO. 11 WINTERS MILL 1, OT: Goalie MeganAlisa­uckas made 20 saves and her defense played strong in front of her, helping the game go to overtime tied 1-1 and then into penalty kicks. That went seven rounds before the Bulls (15-2-1) won, 5-4, over the Falcons (12-4) in Class 2A at River Hill.

HUNTINGTOW­N 1, NO. 12 ATHOLTON 0: Mia Isaac scored the game-winner with 23:10 left in the game to lift the Hurricanes (11-4) over the Raiders (11-4) in Class 3A at Linganore.

LINGANORE 2, NO. 13 BEL AIR 1: Ashley Yurich scored the game-winner on a penalty kick with 7:28 left in the first half as the host Lancers (16-1-4) beat the Bobcats (12-5) in Class 3A.

Bel Air took an early lead before Linganore tied the score 31 seconds later.

PATTERSON MILL 3, MCDONOUGH 0: The Huskies (11-5-1) beat the Rams (12-6) at Northeast and are headed back to the Class 1A state final for a third straight year.

McDonough, 3-0, Saturday afternoon at Northeast.

The Huskies will meet Sparrows Point, the defending four-time Class 1A state champion at Loyola Maryland next week. Day and time is not yet determined.
