Man dies 5 days af­ter West Bal­ti­more shoot­ing

A 28-year-old man shot last week in West Bal­ti­more has died, po­lice said. Mi­nesh Tyler, of the 4200 block of Old Fred­er­ick Road, was shot at about 6 p.m. Tues­day while sit­ting in a car in the 200 block of S. Au­gusta Ave. in the Irv­ing­ton neigh­bor­hood. Tyler was taken to a hospi­tal. Sun­day morn­ing — five days af­ter the shoot­ing — Tyler died, po­lice said. Homi­cide de­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing. Also, po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a shoot­ing that took place early Satur­day in south­west Bal­ti­more. Po­lice said the man told de­tec­tives he was rid­ing a bike in the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. in the Car­roll­ton Ridge neigh­bor­hood when he heard gun­fire and re­al­ized he had been grazed in the face by a bul­let. The man went home for sev­eral hours, and even­tu­ally went to a Bal­ti­more hospi­tal for treat­ment.
