Dodgers: OF Yasiel Puig went on re­vo­ca­ble trade waivers, Fox Sports’ Ken Rosen­thal tweeted. Though a team is likely to put in a claim, the Dodgers would be more likely to trade him in the off­sea­son, Rosen­thal said. Puig has been in Triple A since the be­gin­ning of Au­gust.

Roy­als: Raul Mon­desi’s three­run triple high­lighted an eightrun sixth as the Roy­als beat the Red Sox 10-4. They have won 17 of 21. The bullpen threw 42⁄ in­nings of two-hit shutout ball. David Or­tiz hit his 534th homer, ty­ing Jim­mie Foxx for 18th on the all-time list.

Rangers: Derek Hol­land al­lowed one run over six in­nings in his sec­ond start off the DL, new LF Carlos Gomez made two high­light-reel catches and the AL-best Rangers beat the In­di­ans 2-1, tak­ing three of four in the se­ries be­tween di­vi­sion lead­ers.

Rock­ies: Nolan Are­nado went 4-for-4, in­clud­ing his 35th home run and a triple, and drove in three runs in a 5-3 win over the Nationals. Are­nado and David Dahl hit back-to-back home runs in the third off rookie Lu­cas Gi­olito. Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and Wil­son Ramos home­red for the Nats, who have lost six of eight.

Giants: Joe Panik home­red twice and matched his ca­reer high of four RBIs to back Madi­son Bum­gar­ner in a 13-3 rout of the Braves. De­nard Span and Ed­uardo Nunez also home­red and Jar­rett Parker drove in three runs for the Giants, who won a se­ries for only the sec­ond time since the All-Star break.

Orioles: Mark Trumbo lined his MLB-lead­ing 40th home run as the Orioles averted a sweep, blank­ing the Yan­kees 5-0. The Orioles halted a three-game skid and ended the Yanks’ win streak at four. Kevin Gaus­man struck out nine and walked none in seven in­nings to win af­ter go­ing 0-16 in his pre­vi­ous 25 road starts.

Phillies: A.J. El­lis’ two-run dou­ble broke a tie in his Phillies de­but, lead­ing to a 5-1 vic­tory over the Mets. The Mets lost SS As­drubal Cabrera in the first with a sore left knee.
