Lori to mark canonization of Mother Teresa
Baltimore Archbishop William E. Lori is planning to mark the canonization of Mother Teresa of Kolkata on Sunday with Masses at local churches she visited in the 1990s. Lori, who knew Mother Teresa, will celebrate a Mass on Sunday at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where the Albanian nun attended a Mass in 1996. Lori will celebrate another Mass on Sept. 10 for the Missionaries of Charity at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in East Baltimore, where Mother Teresa attended the dedication of a hospice for AIDS patients in 1992. Lori will celebrate Mass at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the Basilica, and at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at St. Wenceslaus.
