Lori to mark can­on­iza­tion of Mother Teresa

Bal­ti­more Arch­bishop Wil­liam E. Lori is plan­ning to mark the can­on­iza­tion of Mother Teresa of Kolkata on Sun­day with Masses at lo­cal churches she vis­ited in the 1990s. Lori, who knew Mother Teresa, will cel­e­brate a Mass on Sun­day at the Basil­ica of the Na­tional Shrine of the As­sump­tion of the Blessed Vir­gin Mary, where the Al­ba­nian nun at­tended a Mass in 1996. Lori will cel­e­brate an­other Mass on Sept. 10 for the Mis­sion­ar­ies of Char­ity at St. Wences­laus Catholic Church in East Bal­ti­more, where Mother Teresa at­tended the ded­i­ca­tion of a hos­pice for AIDS pa­tients in 1992. Lori will cel­e­brate Mass at 10:45 a.m. Sun­day at the Basil­ica, and at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at St. Wences­laus.
