Man charged in 2015 shooting in Woodlawn
A 32-year-old man has been charged in an attempted carjacking in which a woman was shot in Woodlawn last year, Baltimore County police said Wednesday. Janson Phillip Williams of Woodlawn is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and a firearms violation, court records show. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Police said officers went to the 6000 block of Townbrook Drive shortly after 11:30 p.m. Aug. 5, 2015, and found an 18-year-old woman who had been shot. The woman, whose name was not released, was sitting in her car outside her apartment when two people approached her, telling her to turn off her car and give them her keys. The woman put the car in reverse and tried to drive off, police said. She was shot once, according to police. Police have not found the other suspect. Williams does not have an attorney listed in court records for the case.
