Ori­oles: RHP Ubaldo Jimenez threw a two-hit­ter for his first com­plete game since 2011, 1B Chris Davis home­red and drove in three runs, and the play­of­f­con­tend­ing Ori­oles beat the Rays 7-3 on Mon­day. Jimenez struck out six, walked one and re­tired 25 of 26 — the lone baserun­ner com­ing on a fourth-in­ning walk — af­ter giv­ing up 1B Lo­gan Mor­ri­son’s three-run homer in the first. Rays 3B Evan Lon­go­ria left the game af­ter be­ing hit in the hand with a pitch, but X-rays were neg­a­tive.

Yan­kees: OF Ja­coby Ells­bury hit a two-run homer on RHPR.A. Dickey’s third pitch of the game, then added an RBI sin­gle to lead the Yan­kees over the Blue Jays 5-3. RHPMasahiro Tanaka (12-4) set­tled down af­ter a shaky first to win his fifth straight de­ci­sion as the Yan­kees matched their sea­son high of be­ing six games over .500. They are 31⁄ games out of the Amer­i­can League’s sec­ond wild-card spot.

Mets: RHP Bar­tolo Colon pitched six in­nings of five-hit ball and SS Matt Reynolds home­red to lead the Mets to a 5-0 win over the Reds. Colon is 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA in his last seven starts. 3B Kelly John­son also went deep as the Mets won for the sixth time in eight games and beat the Reds for the 12th time in a row.

Roy­als: Kendrys Mo­rales and 1B Eric Hos­mer both home­red and OF Jar­rod Dyson had three hits to help the Roy­als over­come three home runs from Twins 2B Brian Dozier and record an 11-5 win. Dozier has 38 homers, the most by a Twins player since Har­mon Kille­brew hit 41 in 1970.

Phillies: SS Freddy Galvis hit a two-run homer and the Phillies snapped a six-game los­ing streak by beat­ing the fad­ing Mar­lins 6-2. The Phillies’ run to­tal was their high­est since Aug. 14 and fol­lowed a 0-6 home­s­tand in which they scored only 11. The Mar­lins lost their fourth straight and are 11-22 since Aug. 1.

Rock­ies: RHP Chad Bet­tis threw a two-hit­ter for his first ca­reer com­plete game, OF Car­los Gon­za­lez hit a grand slam and the Rock­ies beat the Gi­ants 6-0.
