Man shot in leg Sunday in Southwest Baltimore
A man was shot in the leg Sunday afternoon in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore, police said. Officers were called about 5 p.m. to the shooting at West Pratt and South Pulaski streets. The man was found wounded and hospitalized.
Annapolis police probe home invasion robbery
Police said they are investigating a home invasion robbery in Annapolis Saturday in which the suspect allegedly tied a resident’s hands together and took money and other valuables. At 10:26 a.m. officers found a woman with her hands bound inside a house on Chester Avenue, police said. The woman told police that a man entered the home and pointed an object wrapped in cloth at her. She believed it was a gun, police said. The suspect took money, an iPad and jewelry, police said. He bound the victim’s hands together before he left the house. A Salisbury resident died in a Saturday house fire, investigators said. The State Fire Marshal’s office says in a news release that the fire broke out shortly before 4 p.m. in a one-story singlefamily house. The fire originated in the utility room of the house. Investigators did not specify where the victim was found. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The victim was taken to the chief medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. Thirty firefighters spent about 25 minutes bringing the fire under control.
