Clinton right to denounce bigotry

Donald Trump says terrible things about Hispanics and Muslims, and he makes racist and misogynist comments. He fails to denounce the white supremacists who support him.

Hispanics, women and blacks overwhelmingly support Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump’s supporters don’t appear to have a problem with his trashing a large percentage of the U.S. population — at least, any objections they have to his statements are not reported.

But when Ms. Clinton calls Mr. Trump’s overwhelmingly white voters on the bigotry they’re supporting in him, they and the press denounce her. Another word besides bigotry comes to mind: hypocrisy.
