Police release names of victims in three homicides
Baltimore police on Monday identified the victims in three homicides over the weekend. Travis Lane, 44, of McElderry Park was killed in a shooting in the 700 block of Mello Court in East Baltimore shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, police said. Rico Carlton, 25, of Sandtown-Winchester was killed in a double shooting about 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Reisterstown Road in Mondawmin, police said. A 32year-old man sustained nonlife-threatening injuries in that incident, police said. He was not identified. And Kenyon Cypress, 33, of Yale Heights was killed after midnight Sunday in the 2100 block of Kirk Ave. in East Baltimore Midway, police said. Also over the weekend, a man was fatally beaten in an alley in the 1800 block of N. Montford Ave. in Broadway East on Sunday night, police said. He has not been identified.
