Harte Hanks to close Baltimore County facility

Baltimore Sun - - BUSINESS MARYLAND - — Natalie Sherman

Harte Hanks, a global marketing firm headquartered in Texas, is closing its print-focused Baltimore County location and laying off more than 100 workers. The layoffs, which will affect 112 people, are expected to start Nov. 18 and continue through the end of the year, said spokesman Scott Hamilton. The closure of the 4545 Annapolis Road location, which included a large printing facility, stems from shifting client needs, Hamilton said. Customers want more personal marketing, instead of mass mailings, he said. The Baltimore County location employs more than 160 people, Hamilton said.
