‘Disgusting behaviour’ at the O’s-Jays game

Baltimore Sun - - FROM PAGE ONE - Dr. Donald Robinson, Toronto, Canada (Editor’s note: We chose not to Americanize the writer’s spelling in order to preserve evidence of his Canadian bona fides.)

As a Blue Jays fan and lifelong Toronto resident, I would like to extend apologies to the Baltimore Orioles for the disgusting behaviour of what I trust was only a handful of Jays fans in the stands Tuesday night. Such action and verbal insult is an embarrassment to the vast majority of Canadians and Jays fans who appreciated a tremendous game on the part of both teams. Toronto is a tremendously diverse city in cultural and racial terms, celebrating that diversity with numerous cultural events every year. Please don’t allow a few miscreants to colour your opinion of us. We look forward to another equally exciting rivalry next year without the bad behaviour.
