Democrats bluster over Comey

The recent revelation that the FBI has reopened the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails was astonishing (“FBI speeds up its investigation into possible Clinton-related emails after criticism,” Nov. 1). What was even more astonishing, however, was the rank-and-file Democrats’ hue and cry for FBI Director James Comey to release all of the information at his disposal.

Maryland’s own, disgraceful Rep. Elijah Cummings jumped out there and spouted the party line as well. This guy is such an embarrassment but knows that the Average Joe has no idea about civics or law. What law enforcement agency would ever disclose its information prior to a case going to court?

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid took to the microphone on the Senate floor and accused Mr. Comey of a crime. The Democrats have continued to insist that we look way over there while slipping the aces out of their sleeves once again. Director Comey soiled his and his agency’s reputation once but stood up to the administration’s puppet masters and attempted to right the wrong.

It certainly appears as though Ms. Clinton has done something very wrong. If she were as honorable as the FBI director, she would stand down right now.
