Oldfields School is a treasure

Regarding the article about the 150th anniversary of the Oldfields School in Glencoe (“All-girls’ boarding school in Sparks Glencoe celebrates its 150th anniversary,” Oct. 24), we experienced the caring excellence of this all-girls boarding school as parents. When my daughter graduated in 1991, we felt ever so grateful for a school that combined realistic expectations with sincere concern for the academic and emotional success of each student.

This special school on the hill in a beautifully scenic in northern Baltimore County is an educational treasure that has a bright future for at least another 150 years.
