Baltimore CASH Campaign adds coach to help veterans
The Baltimore CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Campaign is bolstering its free financial planning services with a new financial coach. The position is supported through a 2015 initiative by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Armed Forces Services Corp. to deploy more financial coaches to communities to work with veterans who have recently returned from service and others who need help planning their financial future. The adviser will work with veterans and others who seek help from Baltimore CASH at the organization’s Baltimore office and out of the Office of Employment Development at Mondawmin Mall. Founded in 2001, the Baltimore CASH Campaign works with low-income families to help improve their financial stability. The organization provides volunteer income tax assistance, does outreach about the Earned Income Tax Credit, and offers financial education classes.
