Bal­ti­more CASH Cam­paign adds coach to help vet­er­ans

The Bal­ti­more CASH (Cre­at­ing As­sets, Sav­ings and Hope) Cam­paign is bol­ster­ing its free fi­nan­cial plan­ning ser­vices with a new fi­nan­cial coach. The po­si­tion is sup­ported through a 2015 ini­tia­tive by the Con­sumer Fi­nan­cial Pro­tec­tion Bureau and the Armed Forces Ser­vices Corp. to de­ploy more fi­nan­cial coaches to com­mu­ni­ties to work with vet­er­ans who have re­cently re­turned from ser­vice and oth­ers who need help plan­ning their fi­nan­cial fu­ture. The ad­viser will work with vet­er­ans and oth­ers who seek help from Bal­ti­more CASH at the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s Bal­ti­more of­fice and out of the Of­fice of Em­ploy­ment Devel­op­ment at Mon­dawmin Mall. Founded in 2001, the Bal­ti­more CASH Cam­paign works with low-in­come fam­i­lies to help im­prove their fi­nan­cial sta­bil­ity. The or­ga­ni­za­tion pro­vides vol­un­teer in­come tax as­sis­tance, does out­reach about the Earned In­come Tax Credit, and of­fers fi­nan­cial ed­u­ca­tion classes.
