The Knights lost four five-set matches dur­ing the reg­u­lar sea­son, but its strong ef­fort Wed­nes­day night led to a 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-10 vic­tory over Marriotts Ridge in the Class 2A West Sec­tion 2 fi­nal.

Cen­tury heads to Wil­liamsport for the re­gion fi­nal Fri­day. The Wild­cats beat Moun­tain Ridge in the Sec­tion 1 fi­nal.

NO. 4 ARUN­DEL D. SEVERNA PARK, 3-0: The host Wild­cats (14-3) pulled away from the Fal­cons (8-6) in a Class 4A East Sec­tion I fi­nal.

Kiera Holtsclaw had seven kills, Macken­zie Mee­han had six aces and Ali­cia El­dredge had five kills for Arun­del, which won, 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.

“They kept it close in the be­gin­ning,” Wild­cats coach Ash­ley Yus­cav­age said.

PATTERSON MILL D. HAVRE DE GRACE, 3-0: The vis­it­ing Huskies (4-12) came back in the third set to beat the War­riors (8-5) in a Class 1A North Sec­tion I fi­nal.

Patterson Mill won, 25-18, 25-19, 25-22. Rachel Gileza had five aces and Caitlin Ryan had four for the Huskies.
