Davis sparks Pel­i­cans to 1st vic­tory

Anthony Davis hit two free throws with 12 sec­onds left and scored 32 points as the Pel­i­cans won their first game, beat­ing the Bucks 112-106 on Thurs­day night in Mil­wau­kee.

E’Twaun Moore added 20 points for the Pel­i­cans, who had started 0-8. The 76ers (0-7) are the only win­less team left in the NBA. Jabari Parker scored a sea­son-high 33 points for the Bucks, who lost their sec­ond straight game to a team that was win­less. In their pre­vi­ous game Sun­day, the Bucks fell 86-75 in over­time to the Mav­er­icks, who had been 0-5.

The Nuggets filed a protest over a dis­puted call with 0.7 sec­onds left in a loss to the Griz­zlies on Tues­day. How­ever, the NBA has had only one end-of-game re­play since the 1982-83 sea­son. ...
