Third man charged in fa­tal at­tack on UB stu­dent

Law en­force­ment of­fi­cials have charged a third sus­pect in the fa­tal at­tack on a Univer­sity of Baltimore stu­dent on a bach­e­lor party in Toronto ear­lier this month, Toronto po­lice said Fri­day. An­drew Christo­pher O’Brien, 28, of Toronto has been charged with sec­ond-de­gree mur­der for his al­leged role as a “par­tic­i­pant” in the fa­tal beat­ing of 26-year-old Ju­lian Jones out­side a Toronto night club early on the morn­ing of Nov. 5, po­lice said. Po­lice did not elab­o­rate on O’Brien’s in­volve­ment, but have pre­vi­ously said that Jones was kicked and punched, in­clud­ing while un­con­scious on the ground. As of Fri­day af­ter­noon, O’Brien was still be­ing sought on an open war­rant, po­lice said. Last week, po­lice an­nounced that they had ar­rested two other men in Jones’ beat­ing, also on sec­ond­de­gree mur­der charges: Ken­neth Omorogbe, 25, and Ka­mari Folkes, 24, both of Toronto.
