Third man charged in fatal attack on UB student
Law enforcement officials have charged a third suspect in the fatal attack on a University of Baltimore student on a bachelor party in Toronto earlier this month, Toronto police said Friday. Andrew Christopher O’Brien, 28, of Toronto has been charged with second-degree murder for his alleged role as a “participant” in the fatal beating of 26-year-old Julian Jones outside a Toronto night club early on the morning of Nov. 5, police said. Police did not elaborate on O’Brien’s involvement, but have previously said that Jones was kicked and punched, including while unconscious on the ground. As of Friday afternoon, O’Brien was still being sought on an open warrant, police said. Last week, police announced that they had arrested two other men in Jones’ beating, also on seconddegree murder charges: Kenneth Omorogbe, 25, and Kamari Folkes, 24, both of Toronto.
