One person, one vote

Baltimore Sun - - WORLD - Jean State, Meadville, Pa.

Your editorial regarding the Electoral College (“Ditch the Electoral College? Yes we can,” Nov. 13) appeared in The Meadville (Pa.) Tribune. For those of us who advocate for election reform, a way to rid the country of the archaic college was a relief.

With today’s communications abilities, there is no reason that the popular vote cannot be tallied in a timely manner. Popular vote is, in my mind, the only fair means of electing our country’s leaders, and I say this knowing that my party would have lost two recent elections.

This is just one reform that our election system needs, but it is a good place to start. Thank you for your very informative editorial and please stay the course.
