Af­ter hit, Luke Kuechly back in pro­to­col

All-Pro line­backer Luke Kuechly was placed in the league’s con­cus­sion pro­to­col and his sta­tus for the Pan­thers’ Nov. 27 game against the Raiders is un­cer­tain.

The 2013 De­fen­sive Player of the Year was carted off the field dur­ing the fourth quar­ter of the Pan­thers’ 23-20 win over the Saints on Thurs­day night af­ter col­lid­ing with run­ning back Tim Hightower.

Kuechly spent 34 days last sea­son in the con­cus­sion pro­to­col and missed three games. Ex­tra points: All-Pro TE Rob Gronkowski will miss the Pa­tri­ots’ game at the 49ers be­cause of the chest in­jury he suf­fered last week­end. Gronkowski was stag­gered dur­ing the sec­ond quar­ter of the game af­ter tak­ing a hard hit from S Earl Thomas. ... Browns QB Robert Grif­fin III will prac­tice next week and it re­mains pos­si­ble he’ll play again this sea­son. He has been side­lined with a bro­ken bone in his left shoul­der since the sea­son opener. ... C Mike Pouncey likely will miss Sun­day’s game at the Rams. Pouncey was listed as doubt­ful af­ter rein­jur­ing his sur­gi­cally re­paired left hip dur­ing prac­tice this week. ... WR De­Sean Jack­son is ques­tion­able for the Red­skins’ game against the Pack­ers be­cause of a shoul­der in­jury.
