Two killed, two injured in Baltimore shootings
A man was fatally shot in West Baltimore on Sunday, police said. Police found the 27-year-old man in the 1300 block of N. Monroe St. about 1 p.m., police said, after officers patrolling nearby heard gunfire. The man, who was not publicly identified, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead. Police had no more details and asked anyone with information to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100. In a separate incident around 2:25 p.m, police were called to the 5600 block of Albanene Place in Northeast Baltimore for a traffic accident, but found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The incident took place near Moores Run Park and Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church. The man was taken to a hospital. Police released no more information. On Saturday night, a 28-year-old man was killed and 36-year-old woman wounded in a shooting about one block west of Johns Hopkins Hospital in East Baltimore, police said. Officers were called shortly before 10:30 p.m. to the shooting on the 1500 block of Orleans St. in Dunbar Broadway. The man was found shot several times and died at the hospital; the woman was wounded in her leg. Anyone with information may call police, 1-866-7LOCKUP.
