Youth coach pleads guilty to child porn charge

A Howard County youth gym­nas­tics coach faces up to 20 years in prison af­ter plead­ing guilty Mon­day to dis­tri­bu­tion of child pornog­ra­phy, the U.S. at­tor­ney for Mary­land an­nounced. Paul Daniel Bollinger, 57, of Wind­sor Mill pleaded guilty to dis­tribut­ing com­puter files with videos of child pornog­ra­phy us­ing a file-shar­ing pro­gram. He faces a manda­tory min­i­mum sen­tence of five years in prison and a max­i­mum sen­tence of 20 years for the charge. His sen­tenc­ing is sched­uled for March 3. Bollinger was a long­time in­struc­tor at Top Flight Gym­nas­tics in Columbia. Prose­cu­tors said he had worked as a gym­nas­tics coach for more than 30 years. Bal­ti­more County po­lice said at the time of Bollinger’s ar­rest that there was no ev­i­dence he had pro­duced any of the pornog­ra­phy.
