Youth coach pleads guilty to child porn charge
A Howard County youth gymnastics coach faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to distribution of child pornography, the U.S. attorney for Maryland announced. Paul Daniel Bollinger, 57, of Windsor Mill pleaded guilty to distributing computer files with videos of child pornography using a file-sharing program. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of 20 years for the charge. His sentencing is scheduled for March 3. Bollinger was a longtime instructor at Top Flight Gymnastics in Columbia. Prosecutors said he had worked as a gymnastics coach for more than 30 years. Baltimore County police said at the time of Bollinger’s arrest that there was no evidence he had produced any of the pornography.
