Hus­band ar­rested in death of wife in West Bal­ti­more

Po­lice have ar­rested the hus­band of a wo­man who was found dead Sun­day af­ter­noon in the Easter­wood neigh­bor­hood of West Bal­ti­more, po­lice said Mon­day. Tif­fany Ruf­fin, 41, was found un­re­spon­sive and with trauma to her head af­ter po­lice went to a home in the 1700 block of Ap­ple­ton St. around 2:40 p.m. Sun­day af­ter some­one asked po­lice to check on her. Medics could not re­sus­ci­tate her and she was pro­nounced dead at the scene. Po­lice said Mon­day that her hus­band, Charles Ruf­fin, 48, was taken into cus­tody by another ju­ris­dic­tion and was await­ing ex­tra­di­tion. Po­lice did not spec­ify where he was ar­rested or what he was charged with, and court records were not avail­able on­line. It could not be de­ter­mined whether he had an at­tor­ney.
