Sylvan Learning agrees to expand to Vietnam
Sylvan Learning has signed an agreement with a Vietnamese investment group to expand its programming to English-language schools there. Through the partnership, Sylvan’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs will be offered at the 31 schools managed by Vietnam Investments Group. The program will begin rolling out in schools this month. The expansion to Vietnam comes as the Hunt Valley-based education company make a bigger push into international markets, in response to rising international demand for STEM training. The company currently has three centers in Hong Kong and eight in the Middle East. With 750 education centers in North America, Sylvan is known for its tutoring and exam prep training. It added STEM programs, including robotics, coding, engineering and math, within the last few years.
