Enough about Clinton’s votes

Baltimore Sun - - TRUMP TRANSITION - David C. Hill, Baltimore

Recently, The Sun published an editorial that touched on Hillary Clinton’s over 1 million vote lead in the popular vote for president. A check of any of the traditional media websites coving the election will confirm the truth of that (“Your own facts,” Nov. 18). It does not matter! Why is Donald Trump going to be sworn in as the 45th president on January 20? Because he won the most Electoral College votes. The process has been basically the same since George Washington took office.

The tilting at windmills discussion of popular votes and changing the Electoral College will only create barriers in the work of making our country better than it already is. We just have to find a way to agree — an incredibly difficult process at times — on what is the best improved version for all of us.
